Job Summary:

Responsible for product planning and execution throughout assigned product’s lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing market needs, product and customer requirements, defining product specifications, and working closely with customers, engineering, sales, marketing and operations to ensure that both revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.

Essential Job Function:

• Liaison between customers, sales team, engineering and operations departments regarding assigned products, associated projects and related technical matters
• Provide application engineering support to customers as required
• Prepare technical and marketing specifications for new product development projects
• Create and maintain project requests/database
• Perform project management duties as required
• Develop product pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
• Create and maintain market/competitor database and library
• Perform product demonstrations to customers and sales team
• Develop and deliver technical presentations
• Develop sales tools and collateral
• Train sales team(s) as required
• Attend/work focus industry exhibitions
• Evaluate and complete requests for off-book pricing based on market knowledge and conditions
• Responsible for interactions and negotiation with Carling private label sources
• Contribute to technical discussions with customer and engineering/technical personnel
• Supervise the Application Engineering Team as required
• Conduct annual performance appraisals for department as required
• International and domestic business travel as required

Recommended Education / Experience:

• BS/BA Engineering degree – Electronics preferred
• Minimum of two years product/project management experience working with electronic based products
• Experience defining requirements and launching electronic based products
• Experience working with products utilizing software/firmware: J1939, CANopen and/or NMEA2000 preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work alone, or within a team environment
• Ability to manage multiple projects and/or priorities
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software
